A million hands is a Community Impact campaign which reflects the Scout Associations ambition by 2018 to mobilise half a million people across the UK in support of four social issues chosen by young people (Dementia, Disability, Mental Wellbeing and clean water/sanitation).
Here in West Yorkshire our Districts and Scout Groups are downloading the hundreds of programme activities and expertise from the national charities to take part in Community Impact projects through their local scouting activities.
A million hands is a hugely inspirational way for our young people to help others and hopefully when you read below about the projects going on in our County you’ll see how truly proud we should be of what we are achieving across the County and hopefully find something that inspires you to take part. As the million hands slogan says… We made a promise to help others – Lets show the world that we mean it.
