On Friday 24th November 2017 spend and evening with the mountainer, Nigel Vardy at Bradley Wood Scout Activity Centre.
Nigel Vardy (otherwise known as “Mr Frostbite”) is a record breaking mountaineer, speaker and author. In 1999, he suffered severe frostbite climbing on Mt McKinley in Alaska. After 3 years recovering, Nigel has taken part in over 20 cross-world expeditions, set British records, and written 2 books.
Nigel will give a captivating talk about his adventures and there will be a expedition presentation from a Duke of Edinburgh Team.
There will also be stands from our County Climbing and Watersports Teams together with a licence bar and raffle.
All funds raised will go towards the Mountain Heritage Trust.
This is just one of the many events taking place thanks to the activities team. Further events include the opportunity to take part in a Fencing Course and White Water Rafting.
