Welcome to West Yorkshire Scouts
The Scouting county of West Yorkshire supports youngsters and their leaders covering the metropolitan areas of Kirklees, Bradford, and Calderdale.
Having just celebrated the 100th anniversary of the movement, Scouting in this area is thriving and youngsters are enjoying access to a wide variety of adventurous activities in a safe environment.

Clown Around Fun Day

World Scout Jamboree- County Contingent
The process has now started in putting together the contingent from West Yorkshire for the next WSJ in 2011.
The first stage is to appoint the contingent leaders, download more information and the application form.

West Yorkshire 24th Survival Camp
Can you build and live in a survival shelter? Prepare live game, wildlife, insects and fish and cook them all over an open fire?

ICELAND 2010
West Yorkshire Explorer Scouts, along with leaders and Scout Network are off to Iceland next summer. As well as visiting Reykjavík we will be venturing into the Interior, taking in amazing sites and trying out some of the adventurous activites available.

Following the appointment of Rachael Kelly as the QSA Co-ordinator, the procedures for handling administration of the award have been reissued and attached.
This document needs to be used in conjunction with the HQ information which can be found on the HQ website

WYS on Show 2009
Do you want to join crew for this years action packed show?

The Big Adventure is a national project which helps to encourage the move from passive to active involvement.
The Big Adventure will run across the country from the beginning of May to the end of August 2009. So, if you are planning a camp, sleepover or other outdoor event this summer, then why not make it part of The Big Adventure?
