The Scouting county of West Yorkshire supports youngsters and their leaders covering the metropolitan areas of Kirklees, Bradford, and Calderdale.
Having just celebrated the 100th anniversary of the movement, Scouting in this area is thriving and youngsters are enjoying access to a wide variety of adventurous activities in a safe environment.

Iceland 2010
West Yorkshire Explorer Scouts, along with leaders and Scout Network are off to Iceland next summer. As well as visiting Reykjavík we will be venturing into the Interior, taking in amazing sites and trying out some of the adventurous activites available.

Scouting’s Northern Lights
Northern Lights County Launch The West Yorkshire launch is taking place this week (Thursday 19th November – 7:30pm) at the Jubilee Centre at Bradley Wood. Scouting’s Northern Lights is a fantastic arena event which we are planning for the summer of 2011 at the Sheffield Arena.
